Web-page saving, caching and saved links
The browser extension, short links and local copies are separate technical Haa.su features. Haa.su provides a technical tool that, upon an explicit user command, may save a web page and related resources for faster repeat access, offline viewing and, where the user chooses Haa.su storage, access to a saved version through a short link. Technical processing may include HTML, style sheets, scripts, images, fonts and other files required to display the page correctly. Haa.su does not acquire rights in those materials and does not claim authorship or ownership of them. Haa.su does not permit short links whose destination is Haa.su itself or a domain recognized as a URL-shortening or intermediate-redirection service, in order to reduce redirect chains and concealment of the final destination.
A local version may remain only in the user's browser profile for repeat or offline access. The extension's local viewer displays the saved page in a passive isolated mode and does not execute third-party JavaScript from the saved site; script files may remain in a user ZIP export as data. Where Haa.su storage is selected, the saved version is published only on the user's separate instruction and may display the capture date, snapshot version, original-source link and a mechanism for reporting a rights issue. Public saved versions are excluded from search indexing where technically applicable.
The Haa.su crawler is not intended to bypass prohibitions, blocks or technical protection measures. It must not bypass authorization, CAPTCHA, paywalls, DRM or other access restrictions. The crawler respects an explicit prohibition published as <meta name="haa-crawler-policy" content="deny"> or X-Haa-Crawler-Policy: deny; Haa.su may also respect noarchive, robots.txt, access restrictions and other technical signals from the source. The absence of a technical prohibition does not itself grant a right to copy or distribute content.
Before each saving operation, the user must explicitly confirm a lawful basis to save and use the materials. The user undertakes not to alter or edit the saved page or its materials without the rights holder's permission, not to use the saved version in violation of third-party rights, and to delete the saved version upon the rights holder's first request. Technical ability to save a page does not itself grant a right to reproduce, modify, publish or distribute it.
Haa.su does not intentionally remove authorship, rights-holder, licence or source information where it is present in the source and can technically be preserved. Haa.su may refuse saving, stop processing, restrict access or remove a saved version to comply with law, protect third-party rights, maintain security or enforce these rules.
A rights holder, author, data subject, source-site owner or other affected person may request removal or restriction through Haa.su's removal/reporting mechanism. Where appropriate, Haa.su may promptly restrict or remove disputed material, and the user must comply with the rights holder's first request to delete the version saved by that user.
Copies stored on Haa.su count toward the account storage quota. Browser copies remain on the user's device/profile, may be opened offline, exported as ZIP files and deleted by the user. If available Haa.su storage is exhausted during browser-assisted crawling, the extension may continue collecting resources into the local browser library and prepare a ZIP archive without publishing that copy on Haa.su. Removing the extension, browser profile or local browser data may remove such copies.
